Editors: The following "filler" items are submitted for possible use in your new-car and auto-show special sections.

New Armrest

The 1972 Dodge Dart Custom 4-door sedan and Dart Demon models have a new cloth and vinyl optional bench seat with folding front center armrest. An all-vinyl version is also available.

Seat Backs

The foam is molded directly onto the seat-back frame in 1972 Dodge Dart's full bench and split-back bench seats. It results in additional kneeroom for rear-seat passengers because the seat-back is thinner.

Metallic Roof

For 1972, the Dodge Dart and Dart Demon 2-door models offer a new, optional metallic vinyl roof. The vinyl actually contains reflecting metallic particles. It is available in blue only.

New Features

For 1972, Dodge Dart and Dart Demon models feature new grille and parking lamps, new door trim panels, and new plastic side market lamps. Brighter backup lamps with increased candlepower and better lighting for night vision have been added.

Slant Six

For 1972, all Dodge Dart and Dart Demon six-cylinder engines will operate satisfactorily on non-leaded fuel. Exhaust valve seats are induction hardened which gives them great resistance to wear.

Steel Antenna

For 1972, Dodge Dart and Dart Demon models equipped with a radio feature a new, solid, stainless-steel radio antenna. It is 31 inches in height and is designed to resist damage caused by vandals or by automatic car wash mechanisms. Thirty-one inches is the most effective height for FM reception.

Litter Container

All 1972 Dodge Dart and Dart Demon models feature a new standard litter container on all models. It is a plastic bag that can be stored in the glove compartment or hung from the glove compartment door.

Filler Cap

All 1972 Dodge Dart and Dart Demon models are equipped with a new pressure-vacuum safety gasoline filler cap. Like a radiator cap, it has safety tangs that allow the cap to be loosened to relieve pressure, but prevent the pressure from forcing it off. It prevents fuel from gushing or squirting out of the fuel tank because of a pressure build-up in the tank or vent lines.
